UAE lifts ban on Nigerians

Nigerian passport holders can now obtain visas to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with effect from Monday, July 15, 2024.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, who made the announcement at the Presidential Villa on Monday, stated that an agreement has been reached between the governments of Nigeria and the UAE.

It will be recalled that the UAE imposed a visa ban on Nigerians on October 2022 while Emirates Airlines suspended flight operations to Nigeria in November of the same year.
