
The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the release of the list of newly recruited teachers for public primary schools across the state ten months after the recruitment exercise.
The announcement was made on Monday by the Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (ODSUBEB), Chief Victor Olabimtan, during the board’s monthly prayer meeting for February.
Thefrontrank reports that in April 2024, the State government through ODSUBEB, commenced recruiting teachers to fill vacant positions in public primary schools.
A terse statement by the Spokesperson for ODSUBEB, Prince Bolu Ajijo, said the list contains the names of successful candidates who applied for teaching positions in public primary schools.
“Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has approved the release of the list of newly recruited teachers for Public Primary Schools across the State
“The Executive Chairman, Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, ODSUBEB, gave the indication today during the observance of the monthly Prayers Meeting for the month of February,” the statement read.
Over 63,000 applicants applied for 2,000 teaching positions in public schools.
