Sallah: Adeleke suspends Aide for alleged diversion of 70 bags of rice

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke yesterday suspended his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Civil Societies, Mr. Emmanuel Adebisi, over alleged diversion of bags of rice meant for constituents.

The suspension comes amid claims that Adebisi diverted 70 bags of rice intended for distribution to civil society groups during the recent Eid-el-Kabir festival.

Adeleke ordered that Adebisi should be suspended with immediate effect.

The governor, through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, in a statement on Wednesday, noted that “Governor Adeleke has directed immediate suspension of Adebisi, pending the outcome of investigation by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Kazeem Akinleye.”

However, Adebisi, in a post on his verified Facebook account, denied the alleged diversion of 70 bags of rice during Sallah, insisting that he has not been suspended.
