
The Police Command in Ondo State says it has launched investigation into the killing of the Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel, Adesoji Adeleye, in Akure, the state capital.
According to reports, Adeleye was murdered in the early hours of Tuesday at his hotel located in the Arakale area of Akure.
Reports have it that Adeleye slept in a room in his hotel but was later found stabbed multiple times by the assailants.
The remains of the victim were taken by the police and deposited at the morgue of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH), Akure.
The spokesman for the State Police Command, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, while confirming the incident disclosed that the police were on the trail of the perpetrators.
“The case has been transferred to the State Police Headquarters for discreet investigation, with a promise to bring the perpetrators of the killing to justice.
“We have sent a team of detectives to the scene and we are on the trail of the perpetrators. As soon as we apprehend them, they will be brought to book,” the PPRO stated.
