
The Police Command in Ondo State has denied allegation that its officers deployed for a quick intervention operation in Idogun community, Ifedore Local Government Area, looted a mobile phone shop in the community.
The command in a statement on Saturday in Akure, described the viral video making the rounds online as “misleading,” insisting that investigations revealed there is no mobile phone shop in the area.
According to the statement, findings from the community’s traditional ruler, stakeholders and officers on duty confirm that no such incident took place.
The command urged anyone with genuine evidence to channel their complaints through the appropriate means by submitting a petition to the Commissioner of Police for a thorough investigation.
“The Command remains committed to upholding justice and maintaining public trust,” the statement added.
