Owa-Obokun reportedly joins ancestors

The Owa-Obokun of Ijeshaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran has reportedly joined his ancestors.

Some High Chiefs in Ijeshaland confirmed the death of the traditional ruler to Thefrontrank on Thursday.

The Osun state government is yet to make official announcement.

It was gathered that the monarch had been sick for some time, but the situation degenerated during the week before he was hospitalised before his demise.

Oba Adekunle ascended the throne on February 20, 1982, from the Aromolaran family, and reigned for 42 years.

It was gathered that security operatives have been stationed in the palace.
