
The Secretary to the Ondo State Government(SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi, who was involved in an auto accident along Ife-Ibadan Expressway, was said to be “unconscious” immediately the accident happened, Thefrontrank learnt.
Oluwatuyi, presently on admission at the intensive care unit of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State, was said to have sustained severe injuries due to the impact of the lone accident.
An official of the Ondo State Government who visited Oluwatuyi in the hospital, told Thefrontrank that the SSG later regained consciousness on getting to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
“The state government has detailed a doctor to keep watch on him and monitor his condition. We pray the accident didn’t affect his spine.
“The SSG is still in the hospital. I was in the hospital to monitor the situation,” the source who pleaded anonymity disclosed.
Thefrontrank learnt that Oluwatuyi, was in a state government Hilux vehicle, when it veered off the road into the bush with the vehicle badly damaged.
The SSG was travelling to Ibadan, Oyo State capital, when the accident happened, while his co-traveller was said to have sustained severe injuries in the two legs.
