Ondo releases academic calendar for 2024/2025 session

The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has approved for operation the academic calendar for 2024/2025 session.

This is contained in a circular dated June 21, signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs F. A. Adegoke.

According to the circular, Schools are to resume on Monday, September 16 for First Term.
Mid-Term Break is Friday, October 25 or Monday, October 28.
First Term Holiday from Monday, December 23, 2024 to Friday, January 10, 2025.

The Second Term commences on Monday, January 13 to Friday, April 11, 2025.
Mid-Term Break is Friday, February 14 or Monday, February 17, 2025.
Second Term Holiday is from Monday, April 14 to Friday, May 2, 2025.

The Third Term commences on from Monday, May 5 to Friday, July 25, 2025.
Mid-Term Break is Friday, June 13, or Monday, June 16, 2025.
Third Term Holiday is from Monday, July 28 to Friday, September 12, 2025.

According to the circular sighted by Thefrontrank, “all public and private schools should adhere strictly to this calendar.”

It equally said that they must observe public holidays, and teachers should report for duty in their schools a week before the resumption date.
