Ondo: Gunmen kill two travellers, abduct Corps member, five others

Gunmen on Friday night killed two passengers and abducted five others, including a female corps member in Ondo State.

Two other passengers also escaped with gunshots injuries.

Thefrontrank gathered that the incident happened on the Ifon/Owo Expressway in Ose Local Government Area of the state at about 11.00pm.

The kidnappers, numbering about 15, who were said to be armed with AK-47 rifles, ambushed the Sienna bus.

It was gathered that remains of the driver and a female passenger occupying the front seat, who were killed in the attack, have been deposited at the morgue of Adelabu Hospital in Ifon.

The Spokesperson for the Police in the state, Fumilayo Odunlami-Omisanyan, while confirming the incident, said the details were still sketchy.

“Our men are fully on the ground, combing the forest to ensure that the victims are rescued,” she added.
