Ondo APC primary: I’m already in court, no election in 15LGAs — Jimoh Ibrahim

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, an aspirant in the April 20, All Progressives Congress(APC) Governorship Primary in Ondo State, says he has approached the High Court to challenge the outcome of the election.

Ibrahim, representing Ondo South, announced this in a statement on his X handle(formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

The lawmaker lost out to the incumbent Governor of the State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in the election.

Ibrahim in a statement titled “Ondo 2024: APC Governorship primaries Was A Mega Fraud”, said: “Yesterday, I distributed the certified true copies of the INEC reports of APC Primary election to journalists where the officials billed to monitor the exercise concluded that election did not take place in 15 out of 18LGAs.

“I hereby challenge Governor Usman Ododo, who was the chairman of the election committee, to come forward with proof of election conducted on April 20, 2024 where any of the aspirants voted in their respective wards, including Governor Aiyedatiwa who was fraudulently declared winner

“I am already in court with the determination to pursue the case to a logical conclusion at the Supreme Court. I have exhausted all the internal party mechanisms for political settlement, including a written petition to the Appeal Committee set up by the party.

“And also wrote to the National Working Committee, NWC, the highest decision making of the party, all to no avail. Therefore, I am at liberty to approach the court of law for judicial solutions.”
