Ondo 2024: Sycophants, politically sapped individuals justifying Aiyedatiwa’s ineptitude, inadequacies – APC chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ondo State, Barrister Lade Ebiwanno, says sycophants and political jobbers have taken over governance in the state praising Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa even with obvious lacklustre and poor performance of his administration.

Ebiwanno said these sycophants and politically sapped individuals were busy telling Aiyedatiwa “let’s go dancing” everyday rather telling him “hard truth” on the poor performance his government in last eight months.

The APC chieftain is a statement titled “Oditiwa, Odirorun, a popular catchphrase among desolate and hungry youths in Ondo State,” lamented that the governor has not demonstrated the capacity and ability to lead the Sunshine State.

He was of the opinion that Aiyedatiwa was ”just too lackadaisical” concerning the welfare of party members and the people of Ondo State unlike his principal, late governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who made security of lives and property a priority.

“I know, it befuddles some people why I have been virulent in my criticism against H.E Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, even after the outcome of APC gubernatorial primary in Ondo State. But it is expedient to recapitulate on how we fought vehemently to resist those who were working clandestinely to remove the Governor prematurely from the office before judicial intervention.

“My support for H.E Lucky Ayedatiwa during the impeachment saga was not borne of monetary or pecuniary inducement the same way; my criticism is not borne of hatred or personal animosity against his person I just felt I owe the society and the Governor the solemn duty of speaking the truth and I have always demonstrated my unflinching fidelity towards honesty and integrity which every person that knows me can’t feign ignorance of my personality.

“Frankly speaking, the Governor hasn’t demonstrated any commit to the welfare of his people most especially the youths and I know many people are disgruntled about his lacklustre and indolence when it comes to decisions making even when majority of his followers can’t speak up yet they suffer seriously in silence.

“It is important to note, everyone can’t be a beneficiary of appointments in his government nevertheless, people that don’t have access to be appointed can eat and be satisfied through the Governor.

“It pisses me off when some sycophants and politically sapped individuals justify the ineptitude and inadequacies of the Governor by saying he just started after spending eight months in office and received over N90 billion. If I may ask? What is the Governor doing with this money?

“Majority of APC members were disgruntled with the Government of Akeredolu; the wide disillusionment against Akeredolu necessitated the support of the overwhelming majority of the people of Ondo State for Aiyedatiwa during the impeachment saga but unfortunately Aiyedatiwa has replicated virtually the political blunders committed by his principal and predecessors without taking a cue from his mistakes.

“I’m not asking for anything from Aiyedatiwa and I don’t think people are asking much from him too; the Governor is just too lackadaisical concerning the welfare of party members and people of Ondo State.

“If at all, the Governor is not going to do anything let him demonstrate serious commitment to the welfare of the party members most especially the army of unemployed youths that have been following him for decades. They have nothing to show, majority of them are just shouting “Odatiwa, Odirorun” whereas things don’t augur well for them in reality.”
