The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) has postponed the elections into the 18 Local Governments in the state indefinitely.
The indefinite postponement was announced by the Chairman of ODIEC, Dr Joseph Aremo, at a stakeholders’ meeting in Akure on Monday.
Thefrontrank reports that the election was earlier rescheduled to be held on July 13.
According to the commission, the postponement became necessary following the failure of political parties to submit their nomination forms and engage in the electoral processes.
