The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has left the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) headquarters in Abuja after being questioned by the police.
Ajaero, who arrived at the IRT office at 10:17 a.m., departed at 11:15 a.m. following the submission of his statement.
Although Ajaero did not speak to journalists at the IRT headquarters, he stated that he would address the media at the NLC headquarters.
The police had previously invited Ajaero to appear at the IRT office on August 20 at 10 a.m. to answer questions regarding allegations of terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ajaero was unable to attend on the initial date but honored the invitation today.
He was accompanied by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana, Marshal Abubakar, Deji Adeyanju, and several senior NLC officials.
