Makinde constitutes coronation committee for new Olubadan

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has constituted a committee for the coronation of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin.

The governor made the announcement on Monday.

Thefrontrank reports that the committee is headed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ademola Ojo; while Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun; Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Toyin Balogun; and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ramota Agberemi-Dabo; among others, are members of the committee.

Olakulehin had earlier been nominated and appointed as the new Olubadan by the kingmakers in April.

The coronation is expected to take place on Friday, July 12, 2024.
