The Chairman of Katcha local government area of Niger State, Danlamin Abdullahi Saku has been reportedly beating to a coma by some youths in the council following his alleged failure to repay over N1 million borrowed to fund his election.

It gathered that the council chairman borrowed the money from one Alhaji Yanda of the same area and failed to repay.

Trouble started on Sunday when his creditor sent some boys in the area to him, demanding for his money.

It learnt instead of responding to the message sent to him, he was said to have slapped one of the youths leading to a fight that saw the chairman beaten to a coma.

It was further gathered that the council chairman was rushed to the General Hospital Katcha and he was later referred to another undisclosed hospital for medical attention.
