Subscribers of DStv and GOtv have been informed to expect a three-day period of “technical downtime” for their services.
According to a notification posted on DStv’s official X handle(formerly Twitter), the interruption is due to the ongoing construction of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road.
Multichoice, the pay TV provider, stated that it would need to relocate from its office premises from May 5 to May 7, 2024, assuring customers that efforts will be made to minimize disruptions during the relocation.
It stated, “Our uplink facility will be impacted by the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road construction project. As a result, we are forced to relocate.
“From Sunday, 5th May, 2024, to Thursday, 7th May, 2024, our technical team will be working tirelessly to relocate and minimize disruptions during the exercise.”
While appreciating customers for their patience and understanding during the period, Multichoice reiterated its dedication to delivering the quality service and support customers expect from DStv and GOtv.
It added, “We’re relocating our uplink facility due to the Lagos-Calabar coastal road construction. This means you might experience some technical downtime. Thank you for bearing with us during this transition.’’
The company assured that it would soon restore its services better than ever.
