Two Ondo State Local Government workers have reportedly died in an auto accident that occurred on Tuesday evening along the Ilesa-Akure highway.
They were returning to Akure from Ibadan when the vehicle they were travelling in had a head-on collision with a trailer.
It was learnt that some of the occupants of the vehicle, mostly Ondo State council workers, were currently unconscious and hospitalised at the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa, Osun State.
Thefrontrank reports that the incident happened barely 24 hours after Comrade Oluwatuyi Olasoji, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Akure South Local Government branch died.
Olasoji, popularly called SOJ, was said to have slumped last week while trying to buy petrol at a filling station in Akure and was rushed to a hospital.
He was later taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, where he died on Monday.
