Gunmen on Monday intercepted two companies buses in Kogi State, kidnapping 14 passengers on board.
The two motor companies buses were travelling to Abuja enroute Kogi State.
The motor companies are; God Is Good Motors where 12 passengers were abducted and another two passengers from ABC Motor.
According to eyewitness, the incident occurred at Inele Eteke Ogugu New Road in Olamaboro, Kogi State.
The driver of God Is God Motors, Mr Godwin Oniovosa, has been rescued while the search in the bushes continues for the rest.
Confirming the incident, Williams Aya, the police spokesperson in Kogi State, in a statement on Monday, said security agencies were on the trail of the abductors.
Aya said: “God is Good Motors was with 12 Passengers, while ABC was with two passengers.
“Meanwhile, the driver of the God is Good, Mr Godwin Oniovosa, was later rescued.”
According to him, Joint Task Force, comprising security agencies from the police, army and civil defence, is now on the trail of the abductors.
