JUST IN: Ex-NBA President, Akpata wins Edo LP Governorship primary

Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association(NBA), Olumide Akpata, has emerged as the Labour Party governorship candidate in Edo State.

The Returning Officer for the election and Deputy Governor of Abia State, Ikechukwu Emetu, declared Akpata as the winner after collating the results.

He was declared the winner of the primary held in Benin City after polling the highest number of votes.

Emetu said the former NBA President polled 316 votes to emerge the winner of the exercise.
