JUST IN: APC picks Idahosa as Edo Deputy Gov candidate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has picked Hon. Dennis Idahosa as its deputy governorship candidate in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State.

Idahosa, an House of Representatives member, will serve as a running mate to the APC candidate in the state, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje will present Senator Monday Okpebholo, the party’s flag bearer and his running mate, Idahosa to President Bola Tinubu at the Villa later today.

Idahosa is to replace Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who was announced by the governorship candidate last week as his running mate.

Idahosa emerged on Sunday night after a prolonged meeting by stakeholders from Edo, the party leadership and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Idahosa lost the ticket to Okpebholo following the controversies that greeted the party’s primary of February 1 later concluded on February 21.
