The Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Jimoh Ibrahim, has appointed Sikemi Atibere and Olubakinde Robert as Senior Legislative Assistants on Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament affairs.
According to a statement by Bola Olagbegi, Chief of Staff to Ibrahim, the appointment takes immediate effect and the appointees will proceed to Togo immediately for parliamentary engagement.
Until the appointment, Atibere was a former Supervisory Councillor in Ilaje Local Government, while Olubakinde is from Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area in Ondo South Senatorial District.
Thefrontrank reports that President Bola Tinubu had on April 4, 2024 inaugurated Ibrahim as a member of the 6th ECOWAS Parliament.
Tinubu performed this duty as the current Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government.
The Senator, a billionaire business mogul has been representing Nigeria at the Subregion parliament.
