
Former Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida, on Thursday raked in nearly N17 billion from his book, ‘A Journey in Service’.
The book, an autobiography titled ‘A Journey in Service,’ was unveiled in Abuja.
Thefrontrank gathered that Babangida received about N17 billion in donations mainly from Nigeria’s business elite.
Aliko Dangote led the contributions with an N8 billion pledge, broken down into N2 billion per year for four years.
Another billionaire, Abdulsamad Rabiu launched the book with N5 billion.
Other notable figures also contributed.
Folorunsho Alakija and a few others also made donations but did not disclose the amount publicly.
The event, hosted by the IBB Presidential Library Foundation, celebrated IBB’s legacy and marked a milestone in public support.
The book is now available at bookshops like the Roving Heights: ₦40,000 for the paperback and ₦50,000 for the hardback.
