Gov Bago suspends IBBUL Vice Chancellor Kassim Adamu

Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger state has ordered the immediate suspension of the Vice Chancellor of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu.

It was learnt on Sunday that the governor also ordered the suspended Vice Chancellor to hand over to the next ranking professor in the institution.

Although Adamu was due to complete his tenure in two months time, the governor accused him of insubordination and disobedient to constituted authority.

Sources within the university management confirmed that Ibrahim has been appointed in acting capacity .

It was also learnt that the suspended VC has been locked in internal crisis with the university unions over high handedness in the management of the institution.
