Fubara nominates caretaker chairmen for 23 LGAs (FULL LIST)

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state has nominated caretaker chairmen for the 23 local government areas in the state.

The governor transmitted the list to the three-member Rivers State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Victor Jumbo.

This is coming amid the renewed political crisis in the state owing to the refusal of the former council chairmen to vacate their offices after the expiration of their tenure.

A statement issued on Tuesday night by the Clerk of the House, G.M. Gillis-West, the Assembly invited the nominees for screening on Wednesday by 8:00 am.
