Ex-convict killed in front of father’s residence

An ex-convict, Adeniji Ibrahim was on Wednesday killed in front of his father’s house, in Abule Oke area of Yewa North Local Government Area of the State.

It was gathered that the 28-year-old Ibrahim was killed by yet-to-be-identified persons.

It was also gathered that the father of the deceased, Adeniji Kamorudeen reported the case at Imasayi Police Division.

“Kamorudeen had reported at the station that some group of people arrested his son with the allegations of stealing and later killed him in the front of his house.

“He stated further that he knew that his son, Ibrahim was a criminal and had just returned from prison for a similar criminal offence, noting that he did not suspect anyone in connection with the case,” the report said.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, said the command is investigating the incident and has declared a manhunt for the assailants.

She said: “ Yes, it is true, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. The command is investigating.”
