Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, widow of the late former Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has hailed the return of Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, wife of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Anyanwu-Akeredolu, in a chat with Starnews NG, described the return of the Ondo State First Lady as a welcome development for the women folk in the state.
She lamented the sidelining of women in governance, noting that the return of Mrs Aiyedatiwa would revive the Office of the First Lady which would refocus attention on women issues.
“Good news! Good for the women of Ondo State. Women of Ondo State had been sidelined in the scheme of things. Nobody was doing the pillow talk for them.
“The Office of the First Lady will come alive again. Happy for them!” Anyanwu-Akeredolu said.
Thefrontrank reports that after months of absence, Mrs Aiyedatiwa on Saturday returned to the Government House, Alagbaka, Akure, ahead of the February 24 inauguration of her husband.
The wife of the governor reportedly walked into the Government House chapel during the wedding of the governor’s niece.
