Attack on official car: Ayebusiwa releases footage of assailants’ branded vehicle, says Aiyedatiwa group involved

Hon. Chris Ayebusiwa, member representing Okitipupa Constituency I at the Ondo State House of Assembly, has released pictorial evidence of the vehicle used by hoodlums who reportedly attacked his staff and official vehicle.

Ayebusiwa, in a statement signed by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, had on Saturday said his black GAC official car was attacked by “weapon-wielding hoodlums” around 4.pm along Oba-Adesida road, Oja-Oba axis, Akure, Ondo State Capital.

The lawmaker, while releasing the footage of the vehicle used by the attackers, explained that the hoodlums who assaulted his staff and vandalized his official vehicle “used a pro-Aiyedatiwa branded Sienna bus and Aiyedatiwa’s campaign face caps.”

“The release of the snapshot of the assailants’ vehicle, labelled “Odatiwa Boyz” with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s portrait, became necessary to lay bare the facts for public interest.

“Moreso that attempts are being made by the governor’s spokesperson to fault the lawmaker’s veritable account,” the lawmaker said in a statement.

Thefrontrank recalled that some residents of the state had recently raised the alarm on their safety following the adoption of red beret as an insignia by the supporters of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Many residents of the state had described the red beret insignia adopted by the Aiyedatiwa group as a symbol of cultism and would further embolden cultists in their activities across the state.

The residents had appealed to President Bola Tinubu to call Aiyedatiwa to order so that they can continue to enjoy peace as it used to be during the administration of the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
