Aiyedatiwa’s Aide bribes thugs to disrupt #EndBadGovernance protest in Akure
An Aide to the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been accused of providing funds to thugs to disrupt the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest in Akure metropolis.
In viral video on social media, the aide was seen giving money to individuals allegedly hired to incite violence and break up peaceful protest.
The accusation has sparked outrage among protesters and activists, who have condemned the alleged action as an attempt to undermine their efforts to demand better governance and address economic hardships.
Thefrontrank reports that a lone #EndBadGovernance protester was on Thursday attacked by sponsored thugs at the popular NEPA roundabout in Akure.
It was learnt that the protester who parked his car by the roadside with placards at the front and back of the vehicle was attacked and flogged ruthlessly by thugs.
Thefrontrank gathered that many residents stayed away from the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest due to the fear of attack by sponsored thugs.
