Aiyedatiwa mourns former Okitipupa LG Vice Chairman, Ola Iwaeni
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has expressed sadness over the death of Chief Ola Iwaeni, a former Vice Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government.
This is contained in a statement by Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Saturday in Akure.
Iwaeni was the Vice Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government between 2020 and 2023.
The Igbotako-born chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), died in the early hours of Friday after a brief illness.
Until his death, Iwaeni was a member of the Governing Council of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa.
Aiyedatiwa described the deceased as a dedicated servant of his people and a passionate advocate of grassroots development.
The governor noted that Iwaeni’s contributions to political movement and community development will never be forgotten.
While describing Iwaeni as a committed party man and associate, the governor said his death was a devastating blow to the APC, Igbotako community and the state.
Aiyedatiwa commiserated with deceased family, the people of Okitipupa Local Government and the progressive fold in Ondo State, praying for the repose of his soul.
