Aiyedatiwa, Dele Alake to grace IDSG’s Ondo State Political Summit
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State and the Honourable Minister of Solid Mineral Resource, Mr Dele Alake, are top on the list of dignitaries to grace the much anticipated Ondo State Political Summit.
The summit is being organised by a foremost socio-political Cultural Group, Ilaje Development Summit Group (IDSG), and it is slated for Friday, November 1 at the Williams Palace, Igbokoda, in Ilaje local government area of the state.
The announcement is contained in a statement by IDSG’s Executive Administrator, Rev. Adesola Omogbeminiyi Adebawo and made available to newsmen in Akure.
Governor Aiyedatiwa is the Special Guest of Honour and the Chief Host, while Alake will be the Keynote Speaker, with Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), as the Guest Speaker.
Adebawo said both national figures had played critical roles in the management of Nigeria’s mineral and petroleum resources, which were vital to Ondo State’s economic future.
He added that their insights would provide valuable perspectives on how Ondo could better harness its natural wealth for long-term development.
According to him, the landmark event is themed, “A Unified Vision for Ondo State: Political and Economic Renaissance for Sustainable Development.”
He said it would serve as a pivotal platform for shaping the future of Ondo State ahead of the upcoming governorship elections.
Adebawo said key political and economic stakeholders would gather to explore strategies for creating a cohesive vision for the state’s sustainable development.
“This summit comes at a crucial moment in the history of our state. We are bringing together key stakeholders to chart a new course for the political and economic development of Ondo State.
“We are confident that with the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa and the esteemed guests we have invited, the summit will spark actionable strategies to foster a prosperous future for our state.
“The Ondo State Political Summit promises to be an event of historical significance, driving a unified vision for the state’s political and economic future.

Adebawo later revealed that at the summit, two distinguished sons of Ilaje land will be honoured for their extraordinary philanthropic contributions to the community.
He said their recognition is a reflection of their unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people, and their work will serve as an inspiration to others across the state.
