Oyo APC chairman Isaac Omodewu dies at 61

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo State, Isaac Omodewu, has died in the United States.

He was aged 61.

Omodewu died in the early hours of Monday after close to a year, receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the U.S, where he was a citizen.

The state Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, confirmed the death of Omodewu.

“It is true that the chairman is no more. He died in the early hours of today in the USA,” Sadare said.

Omodewu was a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, and Commissioner for Lands and Housing under late Senator Abiola Ajimobi administration.
