Three arrested for murder of Florida rapper Julio Foolio

Three suspects connected to the murder of popular US rapper Julio Foolio have been arrested by the Tampa Police Department.

Foolio was shot dead during his 26th birthday celebration on June 23, 2024.

In a statement on Monday, the police department announced the arrest of Alicia Andrews, 21; Isaiah Chance Jr., 21; and Sean Gathright, 18.

The suspects have been charged with premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm and conspiracy to commit premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm.

Sean Gathright is also accused of tampering with physical evidence.

Additionally, the police have issued arrest warrants for two other suspects, Davion Murphy, 27, and Rashad Murphy, 30.

The two are wanted for first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and three counts each of attempted first-degree murder.

“The five suspects conspired to murder the rapper between June 21 and 23.

“They traveled from Jacksonville to Tampa on June 22 in two vehicles to track and kill Jones in retaliation for an ongoing Jacksonville rival gang feud,” the police claimed.

On June 23, police said Chance and Andrews tracked Foolio and his entourage to a hotel where he was killed and three others were injured.

The suspects are allegedly members of two different gangs, ‘ATK’ and ‘1200,’ while Foolio was said to be a member of the ‘6 Block’ gang.
