Owa of Idanre joins ancestors at 102

The Owa of Idanre in Ondo State, Oba Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, has joined his ancestors.

He was aged 102.

Aroloye, who reigned for 42 years after ascending the throne in 1976, died on Tuesday.

The Lisa of Idanre and traditional Prime Minister of Idanre, High Chief Christopher Oluwole Akindolire, confirmed the death of the traditional ruler on Wednesday.

Akindolire said that preparations for the necessary traditional rites were underway at the king’s palace.
