Snoop Dogg carries Olympic torch in Paris, inspires a wave of hilarious memes

In his career, Snoop Dogg has set the charts on fire and sparked more than a few blunts.

But the legendary hip-hop figure put his love for marijuana on hold to fulfill a lifelong dream — carrying the Olympic torch at the 2024 Games.

On July 25, the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper achieved his ultimate side mission in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis.

Snoop proudly shared his accomplishment on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Did somethin today. #FollowTheDogg.”

Social media users quickly turned the moment into a series of flaming jokes about stoners, using creative photo and video edits to re-imagine the ceremony.

One page humorously commented, “Thank you for holding the Olympic joint,” while another user quipped, “Hope you had fun,” alongside a modified photo.

“You tried to smoke it didn’t you,” laughed one person, and another asked, “Light a blunt with it?” One user joked, “I know Snoop in Paris high as hell,” sparking even more amusement online.

Snoop, whose legal name is Calvin Broadus Jr., is elated over his career high.

Speaking to AP, he said, “I look at this as a prestigious honor and something I truly respect. I would have never dreamed of nothing like this. I’m going to be on my best behavior. I’m going to be on my best athleticism. I’ll be able to breathe slow to walk fast and hold the torch with a smile on my face, because I realize how prestigious this event is.”
