Emir Sanusi will lead Friday prayers not Bayero, police say

The police have declared that the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, will lead the Friday prayers at the Central Mosque.

The police equally announced that Aminu Bayero will observe his Friday prayers in the mosque within the Nasarawa Palace, where he is currently residing.

Thefrontrank reports that the Friday prayers normally hold between 1:30 p.m and 2:30 p. m.

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, who made the disclosure, said police and other security agencies would provide adequate security at the Emir of Kano’s palace, where Sanusi is expected to lead the Friday prayers.

He urged residents to go about their activities without entertaining fear from any quarter.

Gumel assured residents that the police will continue to provide adequate security before, during and after the Friday prayers in the state.
