PDP screens seven aspirants for Ondo governorship election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday in Abuja screened seven aspirants for Ondo State governorship election ahead of the party’s primary slated for April 25.

Thefrontrank reports that the aspirants screened were, a former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi; a former Commissioner and chieftain of Afenifere, Chief Olusola Ebiseni; Akinwumi Adeolu, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Kolade Akinjo, Bosun Arebuwa and John Mafo.

The aspirants were screened by the eight-member committee constituted by the National Working Committee of the party.

The screening which took place at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, ended at about 6pm.

A former governor of Ebonyi State, Sen. Sam Egwu, led the screening committee, with Sen. Isa Lau, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, Mrs Olivia Dazyman, ⁠Tanko Beji and Mrs Gladys Ashemuke as members.

While Chief Rahman Owokoniran served as the Secretary and Caroline Akinsete as the Administrative Secretary.
