
Twenty-five-old Emmanuella Ogochukwu who planned and executed a money heist on her boyfriend with the help of her brother and his friend has been arrested alongside her brother.
On February 17, 2025, the case of conspiracy and armed robbery was transferred from Okota police station to the command for discreet investigation after the complainant alleged that Ogochukwu conspired with her brother and his friends to rob him of three iPhones and bitcoins worth about N15 million.
The Lagos State Police Command said that upon the receipt of the casefile and following the confessional statement of Ogochukwu, Ogbuka Tochukwu 22, who is her younger brother was trailed and arrested by the operatives of the Command.
It was said that they both confessed to the crime.
All the complainant’s phones and sum of N6.5million were recovered and have been registered with the exhibit keeper.
The Command said investigation is still ongoing to arrest the other wanted members of the gang.
Meanwhile, a 74-year-old man, Aderinsola Addiths has been arrested for having forceful canal knowledge of a 13-year-old girl, Iyanu Adeosun.
On March 13, 2025 at about 5:00p.m. a man reported at Iju Police Division that his daughter reported to him that one Addiths allegedly defiled her in his room on March 12, 2025.
According to the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, a team of detectives visited the scene and the survivor was taken to the hospital for examination and treatment while the suspect was immediately arrested and detained in police custody.
