Pope Francis rested well during his 17th night in hospital with pneumonia, the Vatican said on Monday, the day after reporting the 88-year-old was in a “stable” condition.
“The pope rested well all night,” the Holy See said in a typically brief morning update.
The head of the Catholic Church was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli hospital on February 14 with bronchitis, which later developed into pneumonia in both lungs.
