
The Governor of Ondo state, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to rapid development of the state.
Speaking on Thursday during the swearing-in of newly appointed and reappointed members of the State Executive Council, Aiyedatiwa charged the officials to immediately settle into their roles and deliver tangible results.
The new appointees inaugurated include Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti Secretary to the State Government; Dr Olukayode Ajulo, SAN, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice; Mrs Omowumi Isaac, Commissioner for Finance; Engr. Johnson Alabi, Special Adviser on Power; Dr Seun Osamaye, Special Adviser on Women Affairs; Comrade Bola Taiwo, Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties; Prof. Simidele Odimayo, Special Adviser on Health; and Engr. Abiola Olawoye, Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing.
Aiyedatiwa charged the newly sworn-in officials to key into the seven-point developmental agenda, “OUR EASE,” designed to accelerate the state’s growth.
He further urged the appointees to embrace teamwork and collaborate effectively with career officers, Permanent Secretaries, and Accounting Officers in their various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) as the success of the government depends on a unified administration with a shared vision.
To ensure accountability and efficiency, the Governor announced that performance measuring techniques would be introduced, stressing that his administration would have zero tolerance for corruption, indolence, and disloyalty.
“We demand excellent performance from all appointees, for that is the primary reason we were voted into office by the good people of Ondo State,” the governor warned.
He commended the State House of Assembly for the swift confirmation of the commissioners, describing it as a testament to the progress of the state.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, the SSG, expressed gratitude to the governor for the confidence reposed in them.
Fasoranti assured that they would work tirelessly to support the administration’s vision and deliver impactful governance to the people of Ondo State.
The event was attended by the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Head of Service, Mr Bayo Philip, Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Olusegun Odusola, who was represented by Justice Adegboyega Adebusoye, the Olu of Ilu Abo, Oba Oluyemi Falae, the Grand Imam of Akure, Alhaji Yayi Akorede, Chairman, SUBEB, Rt Hon. Victor Olabimtan, Chairman of Akure South local government, Mr. Gbenga Fasua, among others.
