A farmer and a labourer have been reportedly abducted by gunmen at Oke Oge, near Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The victims were returning from a farm close to the Akure Airport when they kidnapped on Saturday evening.
The state Commander of Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, who confirmed the incident, said that security operatives had been deployed to secure their release.
Adeleye said: “We are on top of the situation. The victims were kidnapped while returning from the farm, and our men have been mobilized to rescue them.”

On Saturday, February 1, 2025, seven travellers from Akwa Ibom State were abducted along the Benin-Owo-Akure road at Ifon area in Ose Local Government Area of the state.
