Security agencies have taken over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat following a heated clash between Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye over the party’s National Secretary position.
The Nation gathered that soldiers, policemen and operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps stormed the premises to restore order.
The situation escalated after an aide to Anyanwu forcibly ejected Ude-Okoye from the closed-door session, triggering a confrontation between both camps.
Security forces intervened to prevent further unrest. The dispute over the National Secretary position began after Anyanwu vacated the seat to contest the Imo governorship election, which he lost.
