Four killed, 10 injured in auto crash on Lagos-Ore Expressway

Four persons have been confirmed dead, while 10 others sustained various degrees of injuries in an accident on the Lagos-Ore expressway on Saturday.

It was gathered that the passengers were travelling in a luxurious bus from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to Lagos State when the crash occurred.

The accident happened around 6:30am at a sloppy area in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The State Police Command’s spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, while confirming the accident, said it was a lone accident.

The PPRO explained that the accident occurred at a step-down area in Ore, and it involved a Chisco Company luxurious bus marked KSF 93 YG.

“Passengers of the vehicle were rushed to Grace of God Hospital by the Police.

“Four people were confirmed dead and their remains deposited at the hospital mortuary, while 10 were injured and are being treated.

“Information has it that the vehicle left Port Harcourt for Lagos, and on getting to the step-down area of Ore, he lost control and entered a ditch, which led to the accident,” Odunlami said.
