Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, on Tuesday presented their Certificates of Return to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Thefrontrank reports that the presentation was attended by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.
Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for their overwhelming support and assured them of more developmental initiatives.
He also commended Tinubu for providing a level playing field during the November 16 governorship election, which saw the APC winning convincingly across in all the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa defeated his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the PDP, with 366,781 votes to Ajayi’s 117,845.
