The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidate in the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, was on Friday received in Owo community by a massive crowd and enthusiastic party supporters.
Thefrontrank reports that the massive crowd that welcomed the PDP candidate into the Owo community during a campaign train, signalled a significant shift in the political landscape of the community and the state.
Addressing the crowd, Ajayi assured them of provision of adequate security to stop incessant killings and kidnapping, economic revitalization, provision of basic education, social development among others.
The former Deputy Governor also promised to reduce university tuition fees, reform the educational sector, and provide more employment opportunities for youths and graduates in the State.
The campaign event was marked by a wave of political defections, with numerous members of the All Progressives Congress and other parties announcing their allegiance to the PDP.
