The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has announced the opening of the portal for online accreditation of journalists and media organisations wishing to cover the November 16 Governorship election in Ondo State.
INEC said the portal will open today, Monday, September 9, 2024 and would automatically shut down at midnight on Thursday, October 31, 2024
Sam Olumekun, the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, made this known in a statement on Monday.
He noted that interested media organisations wishing to deploy journalists and technical staff to cover the election are by the statement, required to apply via https://imap.inecnigeria.org
“We implore prospective applicants to do the needful well ahead of the 31st October deadline.
“There will be no deadline extension, while late submission will not be entertained,” INEC said.
